The Cleveland Model Boat Club ponds are located southeast (Sail, Power, and Fast Electric) and southwest (Scale) of Elyria, Ohio in Lorain County. The Club has about 40 active members who participate in one or more of the club's four areas of competition: (1) Fast Electrics, (2) Powerboats - Gas & Nitro, (3) Scale, and (4) Sailing.
Members have the opportunity to operate their models in competitive races as well as in non-competitive events. Most members operate their models on the water, some models operate underwater. Other club members enjoy building models for static display. We offer a wide range of locally organized club activities and members are encouraged to take part in activities sponsored by other clubs in Ohio or travel beyond Ohio's boarders for regional or national competition.
The club meets monthly (No Meeting - Aug. or Dec.) on the last Friday of each month. Meetings are at the Denny's Restaurant on W. 150th Street, just south of I-71, at 7:30 PM. Please contact us if you would like more information regarding the dates and times.
