CMBC Club Rules

1.         No transmitter shall operate without a frequency clip.

2.         All transmitters must display frequency flags.

3.         All transmitters must be off when not in use.

4.         All boaters will be responsible for clearing their area before leaving.

5.         All members shall conduct themselves in a sportsman like manner at all times and assume responsibilities when called upon.

6.         No rowboats, canoes, rafts, or other manned craft will be allowed on the running site other than authorized retrieving craft.

7.         No swimming or wading will be allowed under any circumstances at running site.

8.         It will be the full responsibility of any club member, who invites spectators to the running site, to inform them of club rules and to enforce these rules fully.

9.         Non-members will be allowed two days of running, provided it does not interfere with club members.  Thereafter, they must meet membership requirements.

10.     The CMBC is a club for radio-controlled and static boats.  No free running boats will be allowed on running site.  All radio gear must be FCC approved type.

11.     CMBC members shall operate on only legal boating frequencies.

12.     At any club function where the retrieve boat is being used all occupants in the boat must wear life preservers.

 

General Safety Rules For The Use Of Club Ponds

1.     Transmitters must be flagged.

2.     If there is more than one powerboat in Borrow Pond you must run in a clockwise direction around the buoys.

3.     Only club members with a life jacket are allowed in the retrieve boat.

4.     The dock at Borrow is for retrieving and launching of boats only.

5.     A maximum of 4 persons on the dock at one time.

6.     You should range check your radio before you put your boat in the water.

7.     You must have a companion with you when at the ponds.  (No one-person operation of boats).

8.     Use of the dock is for boat operations only.

9.     Non-member observers must stay behind the operators or you must pull your boat from the water.

10.   Make sure the lake is clear of obstacles before operating a boat.

11.   You must wear proper footwear at the ponds.  No bare feet.

12.   It is recommended that you have a fire extinguisher with you.

13.   You must have a tuned pipe or muffler on the boat.
